National Day of Mourning for President George H.W. Bush

Read the USCIS Announcement For Office Closures

The Trump administration has declared Wednesday, December 5th, as a national day of mourning in remembrance of former President George H.W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States.
As a result, all U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices will be closed Wednesday December 5th.

The USCIS will reschedule all naturalization ceremonies, interviews, biometrics and appointments previously scheduled for tomorrow at a later date. Those with biometrics appointments will receive a reschedule notice within three weeks.

The USCIS Contact Center  1 (800) 375-5283 will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time, but will have limited live help.
